Best Chinese food ever!!! We got there and was close, we had to wait for them to open to restaurant but it was totally worth it. Nothing fancy, not much space but clean, friendly staff, the food was amazing! Delicious!!! We were a party of 5 adults and 1 kid, we had the Deluxe Dinner, enough food for all. Awesome flavor!!! Simply the best Chinese food!!!

As we waited for 45 minutes in a narrow stairwell to be seated, it was tempting to just find another place. But literally everyone coming out told us, 'Keep waiting. It's worth it.' And they were right. The food was delicious. I even appreciated when I ordered the spare ribs and the waitress communicated to me (through broken English) that it might be too spicy for me. I graciously, and caucasiously, chose another dish. Nothing we ate disappointed us. I'm a fan of hot and sour soup, and theirs was full of flavor. The portions were generous. I give four stars instead of five only because they are not air conditioned and it was a really hot day. Plus, they do communal seating (with people you don't know), but we lucked out on both counts because they sat us at a small table for four right next to a breezy window. Give them a try.

So we found this place while looking for the best eats in San Francisco Chinatown. It's located up an unassuming flight of stairs, and the room is also nothing particularly special. It's shared table seating so if you have a small party be prepared to make friends. First thing you'll notice is all the locals in the place, and that's always a good sign. We had quick service and the staff was very friendly. But the best part was the food. The signature clay pot dishes were fantastic, and the value was incredible when comparing portion to dollar... Cheapest dinner we had in SF and one of the best. Definitely recommend.
